Paris–Nordkapp was born from the vision of Tiziano Internò.
On August 24th, 2019, just back from an unsupported bicycle journey from Torino to Nordkapp, Tiziano sat with one question in mind: what’s next? That same night, he dreamed of racing the Dakar, what was once the legendary Paris–Dakar. That dream became a spark, one that would carry him to the start line of five editions of the toughest rally in the world. Exactly five years later, on August 24th, 2024, another vision struck him, not to ride south this time, but to head north again. Thus, Paris–Nordkapp was born. From the same symbolic starting line, but toward the Arctic, not the Sahara. Not in winter, but in the heart of summer, chasing the Midnight Sun.
Manuel Podetti is the co-founder of the legendary Gibraltar Race and the founder of Lamas Rally. With over 2 decades of experience in designing and organizing adventure motorcycling events, he is known for creating routes that are as challenging as they are magical. A strategic thinker and an explorer at heart, Manuel conceived the gate system and route structure that define the Paris–Nordkapp experience.
Tiziano and Manuel first crossed paths during the 2021 edition of the Gibraltar Race: Manuel as the event’s organizer, and Tiziano as a participating rider and storyteller. That encounter marked the beginning of a mutual respect and connection that evolved into a solid friendship. In the years that followed, they discovered a shared vision of adventure and authenticity, which ultimately led to the birth of Paris–Nordkapp.
Together, they crafted an event that is not about racing against others, but racing against your limits.
Our mission is to channel the spirit of the original Paris–Dakar into a raw, unsupported adventure across Europe…where the real destination is the journey itself.
