No. It is an ultra-distance motorcycling adventure: no timed sections, no ranking. The only rule is to reach every Gate within its maximum arrival time.

The route is never extreme or overly technical, but weather and surface conditions can make sections challenging, especially for tired or unprepared riders. Prepare physically and technically, and remember: taking a shortcut to reach the Gate safely is always allowed.

Expect up to 10 hours a day in the saddle. In the Rally classes, more than half of that time is on dirt and sand.

Any motorcycle suitable for your category: off-road sections and long transfers for the Rally classes, tarmac for the Explorer. Adventure bikes are highly recommended. It must carry your luggage, tools and everything you need: full self-sufficiency is the goal. Fuel range: at least 150 km, 200 recommended.

Rally RoadBook: a digital roadbook on a tablet, with the app defined for the edition. Rally GPX and Explorer GPX: a GPX track on any GPS, tablet or smartphone. In every case a second GPS device is mandatory.

No. You bring your own navigation devices, mount and power supply. The organization provides the live-tracking and safety device.

One leg at a time: the RoadBook or the GPX track to the next Gate is sent by email after each briefing. The Waypoints Helper with fuel, hotels and services arrives before each leg, and the Participant’s Guide between 30 and 15 days before the start.

Four mandatory checkpoints along the route, each with a maximum arrival time. Inside you find the Malle Motorex Area, the tyre service, the Gate Battle, the briefing and dinner.

You are Out of Time: you can continue to the next Gate, or to Nordkapp, choosing your own route, but you no longer receive the official route. Skipping a Gate on purpose, leaving the route without rejoining it where you left it, or having your bike transported without authorisation means exclusion.

Everyone who reaches Nordkapp is a Finisher. Finisher HERO validated 100% of the route, PRO at least 85%, SURVIVOR at least 70%. Kilometres skipped with a Joker Card count as completed.

A bonus earned at the Gate Battle: it lets you skip the number of kilometres written on it without lowering your route percentage. Joker Cards are cumulative.

None on the road: you manage maintenance, navigation and logistics yourself, and riders help each other. At the Gates the Malle Motorex Area gives you tools, stands and free lubricants, plus a tyre service by reservation. Medical assistance in case of accident is covered by the insurance included in the fee.

Local workshops and private help on the road are allowed, as long as you rejoin the route exactly where you left it. No external assistance inside or near the Gates, no luggage carried by vehicles not registered for the event, no bike transport along the route without authorisation.

Yes: €150 in cash as a refundable deposit, paid at the checks and returned when you hand the device back at the final Gate.

Absolutely. You can enter any category as a Team, with no minimum or maximum number: you commit to ride together at the same pace. Each member has their own tracker and their own Finisher status. Indicate your Team name in the registration form or before the registration deadline. Even solo riders build alliances along the way.

Between the Gates it is up to you: wild camping under the midnight sun, hotels, or a mix. At the Gates the mandatory rest takes place near locations chosen for their comfort and accommodation options.

On Roadbooking, the official registration platform. The waiting list opens on 15 October 2026 at 12:00 CET, registration for everyone on 16 October at 12:00 CET, and the LCQ for places freed by withdrawals on 1 January 2027. The first edition sold out in under 24 hours.

Yes, until the registration deadline, settling any fee difference, with no administrative fee. After that, only from the administrative checks onward and only RoadBook to GPX or Rally to Explorer, with a €150 fee.

Inform the organization by email. Until 31 December 2026 you get 80% back, from 1 January to 28 February 2027 50%, after that no refund.
